Services

What you can hire us for

These are the six kinds of work we take on. If you're not sure which one fits, describe the problem on the first call.

Business software and automation

One system for your orders, stock, scheduling or approvals, in place of the spreadsheets, emails and paper forms your team copies details between. We also automate the routine steps.

What you getThe system, logins for your team, a user guide, training and the source code.

Websites and online stores

We build company websites, online stores and booking sites. They take enquiries and payments while you're closed, and your own staff can keep them up to date.

What you getA live site, admin access for your staff, training, and the domain and hosting in your company's name.

Customer portals and mobile apps

Your customers log in to one place to order, book, pay and see where things stand. It can be a web portal, an app for iPhone and Android, or both.

What you getA live web portal or app and its source code. Apps are published under your company's own App Store and Google Play accounts.

System integration

We connect the accounting, CRM, stock and payment systems you already use. A payment taken on your website can then appear in your accounts without anyone typing it in again.

What you getThe live connections, a written map of how your data moves, and alerts if a transfer fails.

Cloud hosting and support

We set up hosting on AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud, sized to what your systems use. It's a good fit if you still run an old office server, or pay a hosting bill nobody can explain.

What you getHosting set up in your company's name. Backups, security updates and monitoring come with a monthly support plan.

IT consulting and planning

Before you spend money on software, we can review what you use now and tell you whether to buy something ready-made or have it built. We'll also point out any software you pay for that nobody uses.

What you getA written assessment and a costed plan you can carry out with us or with another provider.

Our terms

What you can hold us to

The terms below apply to every client and every project. The full wording is in our terms of service.

  • Written quote and agreement

Each project, retainer and support plan starts with a written quote and a signed agreement that sets out the scope, price, timeline and payment terms.

  • Changes to the scope

If you ask for something outside the agreed scope, we quote it in writing first. We only bill for extra work you have approved.

  • Payment in stages

You pay for a project in stages, as each part of the work is delivered. We invoice each stage, and you pay by bank transfer.

  • What belongs to you

You own your data. You also own the source code and designs we create for you, once you have paid for them. Domains, hosting and app store accounts are set up in your company's name.

  • Confidentiality

We sign a non-disclosure agreement before you share sensitive details. Only the people on your project can access your data, and we return or delete it when the work ends.

  • Documentation and handover

Every system comes with documentation. You can keep us on a support plan or hand the work to another provider.

How we charge

Pay by the project or by the month

Pick a fixed price when you can describe the job up front, or a monthly retainer when the work will keep changing. You can switch later, for example to a support plan once your system is live.

Fixed-price project

You pay one agreed price for a defined piece of work, such as a website, an online store, an integration, an IT assessment or the first version of an app or system.

Best for
Work with a clear scope
Billing
One agreed price, invoiced in stages as each milestone is delivered
What you get
The finished system, source code, documentation and staff training

Development retainer

You get a set number of development days each month, and we spend them on the changes you need most.

Best for
Systems that keep changing after launch
Billing
A fixed monthly invoice for an agreed number of days
What you get
A plan of work and a progress report each month, with all code and files kept on systems your company owns

Support and maintenance plan

We look after your live website or software and make small changes as they come up.

Best for
Systems already in use, including ones built by another provider
Billing
A fixed monthly invoice for the cover agreed in writing
What you get
Security updates, backups, monitoring and agreed response times for issues

Hosting, domains, app store fees and software licences come from other companies. We list these costs separately in each quote.

Process

What happens after you contact us

Five stages. Each one ends with something you can see and approve before the next one starts.

  1. 01

    First call

We talk through the problem and your budget. If we don't think software is the right fix, we'll say so.

  2. 02

    Quote and agreement

You get the scope, timeline, price and payment terms in writing. Work starts only when you sign the agreement.

  3. 03

    Design and build

We agree screens and workflows with you first, then build in short cycles with a working demo at the end of each one.

  4. 04

    Launch and training

Before go-live, we test the system and move your existing data across. Then we train your staff to use it.

  5. 05

    Support

After launch, you can choose a monthly plan for updates, monitoring and improvements.

Questions

Before you hire us

Ask us anything else on the first call.

How much will it cost?

We can't price the work until we know what it involves. After the first call, we send you a fixed price or a monthly fee in writing, and you decide from there.

How long will it take?

The timeline goes in your quote, based on the scope you approve. Larger projects are delivered in stages. Where it makes sense, you can start using the finished parts while we build the rest.

Can you work with the systems we already use?

We check this on the first call. We can connect new software to your existing accounting, stock, CRM and payment tools where those tools allow it.

Can you take over a system another company built?

Yes, our support and maintenance plan covers them. As with all our work, you get a written quote first.

What if something goes wrong after launch?

If something we built doesn't work as agreed, we fix it at no extra cost during a warranty period set in your agreement. After that, a support plan covers fixes and updates.

Who will I deal with?

You'll have one named contact at Flexitech, from the first call through to support after launch. Design, development, hosting setup and support all come from us.

What technology do you use?

We pick well-known tools for each project, such as .NET, Python, React and Flutter, and host on AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud. That makes your system easier to maintain, or to hand to another developer later.
